Whew! The past few weeks have been full and almost frenzied. I never realized how having a child in elementary school could increase the pace of life so dramatically. It is so fun being engaged with our neighborhood community, but life definitely seems to be moving at a faster clip than ever. We traveled to Georgia two weeks ago for a family wedding. Congrats to Avery and Austin and thanks to Mimi and Poppy for being such wonderful hosts! The cool temperatures finally arrived on Sunday, so we spent our Columbus Day picking out pumpkins and decorating our yard for Halloween. Here are some pictures from our last weeks............

| Flying for 2 hours is so much better than 10! Susannah watched movies and edited photos like this one to stay entertained. SA wasn't quite as easy, but she did pretty well overall. |

| The wedding was on the plantation where Peter's grandfather grew up. It was a beautiful day and we were so grateful to be a part of it. |

| This was us at the reception after we heard that Tennessee had scored on a hail mary to beat Georgia in the last seconds of the game. The next morning we had an uneventful flight back to Virginia and then headed to a neighborhood bbq, where we were once again struck by how lucky we were to land in this neighborhood. We were too busy chatting and eating and policing Sarah Avery to I take any pictures though. |

| We have been soaking in all the beautiful weather and spending every afternoon at the school playground with friends. Then we come home and the girls and meadow play in the yard while I cook dinner. |

| On Friday, Sarah Avery looked so cute before preschool that I wanted to take a picture. She was only interested in getting to her classroom though, as you can see from her face. "No Mommy! Hurry up!" |

| It rained all day Saturday, so we went to the library and checked out some new books. |

| Sunday we went to Sunday School and church. |

| Monday we stopped to get a donut and some coffee before braving the Halloween decorations section at Target. |

| It was so crowded, I think we needed something a little stronger than sugar to make it a pleasant experience. ;) |

In other news, Susannah has her first loose tooth! She is beside herself with excitement and I'm a little sad because that seems like such a big kid thing. We hope all of you are enjoying a beautiful fall wherever you are. We love you all and miss you! Hugs from Virginia!
