Best Friends

We have had a super fun week......being back together as a family is such a blessing.   This week was also extra special because Susannah's best friend Leyton came over 3 different times to play.

We spent lots of time in the backyard coloring with our sidewalk chalk.

And chasing bubbles.

These best friends have already started sharing fashion advice........Apparently hot pink crocs are the hottest trend for 18 month olds this summer.

 We decided to take all 3 girls for a walk to the park......it was quite the adventure.  

Susannah shared her Daddy for some storytime in the rocking chair. 

Of course, we enjoyed plenty of time at the swings this week.

Susannah has also made a new friend.   This cat lives down the street and we always stop to say hello to it on our way home from town. 

Susannah LOVES cats.

In other news, Susannah wore her first pigtails yesterday!   They were so adorable, but only lasted a few hours.

A Birthday Party, Mother's Day, and WELCOME HOME DADDY

This was an exciting week for the Mallory house!   After 3 long months, Daddy came home!!!!   We were so happy to see him.    Before he arrived on Thursday morning though, we had a good weekend.....a birthday party on Saturday and a fun Mother's Day on Sunday.(Beautiful tulips were delivered from Peter and Susannah, and some of my best friends here took us out to one of my favorite restaurants for dinner.......we even had a private room so I didn't have to worry about Susannah's behavior...I felt like one lucky Mama!)    Here are some photos from the week.......

And now for the best part of our week......Daddy's homecoming!!

Meadow and Susannah were fighting for his attention as soon as he walked in the door.

Susannah couldn't wait to show him her new kitchen.

And her new favorite books. 

Daddy took over the bedtime routine without missing a beat. 

He even remembered all of her favorite nighttime songs. 

On Friday, we headed for the zoo. 

Susannah was excited to show her Daddy her best friends at the petting zoo.

It was so much fun.

We had great weather all weekend and spent a lot of our time in the backyard,



blowing bubbles.

Having the family back together again is such a joy!   This Mama's heart is very thankful.    Hope all of you are well.    Miss and love you all.

New Shoes and Sunny Afternoons

We had a good week here chez Mallory.   Nothing too exciting to report, but here are some highlights of our days......

We spent an afternoon at the local running store where they help customers find the type of shoe they should be wearing, their true size, ect.......Susannah was intrigued by the store's mascot....this dog.   She kept walking over to all the signs with the dog and giving them kisses.  

And she loved helping with the trying on process......she loved stacking the boxes and carrying them around the store.

This was her adorable Sunday church dress.   Her friend Sophia gave it to her and it makes me think of Little House on the Prairie.

Meadow is the only one who can get her to smile like this.

We have heard all about San Diego's "may gray" weather, but this week was an exception......sunny and 70....perfect playground weather.

I don't know why she looks so sad to be on the tractor.....I promise she loves it!

So tall!

And so sweet.

Afternoons in the backyard with Susannah and Meadow are definitely a favorite part of my week.

Susannah's friend Sophia also gave her this doll stroller and Susannah loves pushing glow baby and dodo around the house with it.   She is very particular about how they are seated though......Glowbaby's legs have to be hanging out just like hers do in her stroller.

I know her eyes are closed in this picture, but I just can't get over how long her hair is and how grown up she looks. 

Another playground day.....so excited about the slide!

Watching you grow, Susannah, is the most wonderful part of my life to date!   I love you!
