Our week in pictures

What were the Mallory's up to this past week?   Well, here are some highlights......

We enjoyed some drinks at the beach.

By drinks we mean water out of our sippy cup......

And by beach, we of course, mean Dog Beach.   Meadow's favorite place on earth.

We sported out hot pink jogging suit.

We played with the flowers in the front yard.

And visited our old friends at the petting zoo.

Mommy finally caught a picture of Susannah when she was using a non-hat item as a hat.

On Thursday we had a pink bow with brown wardrobe theme.

And we played with the flowers in the front yard some more.

I think the pink bow with brown outfit was working for us, don't you?

We played with our friends at church.

And we played with our pink kitty that Grammy sent us for Valentine's Day.

We unpacked our delivery from diapers.com.

Susannah LOVES unpacking things!

We jumped and played on Mommy and Daddy's bed.

This is one of our favorite activities.

Pretty fun week I'd say!

Hope all of you had a good one too!

Valentine's Day Recap and a sweet Sunday outfit

This year's Valentine's Day wasn't exactly traditional, but it was fun nonetheless. Susannah and I had some friends come over since all the Daddies and Husbands were working and we had a great afternoon. I was too busy hosting to remember to take pictures but I snagged a few from a friend.

Finding these on the doorstep after our morning run set the tone for a bright and happy day.   (Yes Susannah has the best Daddy in the world.)

Susannah had so much fun sharing her toys with her friend Addy. (They were bouncing on this bed just a few minutes after we took this picture.)

"Here, I''ll give you the soccer ball if you let me have some of your milk."   (Susannah still refuses to drink milk when I offer it to her, but I have caught her drinking it out of Addy's cup a couple of different times.)

Susannah shared her favorite toy, Noah's Ark, with Addy and Miss Brittany.

In keeping with Valentine's Day tradition, we had chocolates.....

And champagne......

Or, in the case of our pregnant/nursing guests, pomegranate sparkling soda.

And of course, we had lots of silliness and laughter.......Thank the Lord for good friends!

On a totally different note, here is Susannah in her church outfit yesterday.

The hair bow only lasted about 30 seconds after this pic, but it sure was adorable while it lasted.

Hope everybody else had a fun Valentine's Day and are still enjoying a Happy President's Day.   More to come soon from Susannah's most recent trip to dog beach.   She was so brave!

Yes, the Mallory Family is still alive........

I know it has been well over two weeks since I blogged.   I try to post something at least once a week, so when iphoto locked up on our computer, it was quite the anxiety inducing technical difficulty.   So, for those of you who hung on during our hiatus, thank you.  Your reward is lots of new antics from the sweetest little toddler in the world.
She loves wearing jewelry.  This is her pink bracelet.   She shows it to us until we say, "Oh, how pretty Susannah."

She is also on a big hat kick these days.....especially hats that are a part of Daddy's uniform.

She also likes to use non-hat items as hats, but I haven't been able to snag a picture of that yet.

Meadow is still her best friend and best pillow.

This lunch was a big event.....Susannah's first meal off of the kid's menu.

She opted for the mac and cheese with broccoli.

Clearly a hit.

We still love playing at the park, but now that Susannah is such a big girl, she wants to push her trike instead of ride it.

Because that is what all the big girls do.

Big girls also loooove to pet the goats at the petting zoo.
She wasn't even the least big scared.   She charged in there with all the big kids and went straight for the goats.

Susannah also loves plants and flowers.   She likes to stop and feel the different textures.   And, she has even started bringing her mommy little flowers that she finds in the yard.

Yep, definitely the sweetest thing this Mommy has ever seen.

Hope everybody is well. I promise to post some more soon. While our iphoto issures still aren't resolved, we have a temporary solution so that we can be better about supplying the grandparents with their weekly Susannah fix.

Our little "big girl"

For some very annoying reason, I still can't get any of our videos to upload to blogger, but I really want to share a couple that we took this weekend at the zoo.   Susannah is walking so much now.   She even runs sometimes.   It is hilarious because she wants to go so fast and be so independent, but she often looks like a little drunk sailor.   ;)   Since I couldn't get them to work here, I downloaded the videos to youtube instead.   Warning:  these may seem really really boring to anybody other than grandparents.
This one is of her playing in the kids area by the elephants:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Nq1zs248BE

And this one is of her walking all by herself.   Needless to say, letting her walk instead of ride in the stroller requires quite the patience level for Mommy and Daddy.   It is so worth it to watch her happy little face as she toddles along though.  http://youtu.be/iZgUEWrIm6g

As evidenced by this picture, Susannah is becoming such a little girly girl.   She loves to brush her hair and wear Mommy's jewelry.   She is really into hats these days too.  Every morning after we get her dressed, she goes straight to the mirror to check out her outfit.

And she also loves to take care of her dolls.   She hugs them so tight.   The one that she has in this picture though is her absolute favorite.   He is her glowbaby and she sleeps with him every night.   He used to stay in the crib, but lately she has insisted that he stay with her throughout the day as well.

Hope all of you are having a good week.   Can you believe February is already here?

Thursday, January 26, 2012

While all three Mallorys have been pretty sick this past week, we still managed to have some fun family time and take some cute photos.   Here are some of our favorites:

Susannah has developed an obsession with sunglasses lately.   If we are wearing them,
she point and grunts at us until we take them off and let her wear them.

She wants to wear them everywhere, even on the swings.

And hanging out at home.

She even managed to convince her friend Leyton that they were the way to go.

We spent our rainy Saturday at the aquarium in La Jolla.
Susannah LOVED it.

She ran all over the place (literally ran so much that we had to chase her a few times)
and she was so interested in all the tanks.

And she didn't let a runny nose keep her from checking out the cool
phytoplankton exhibit either.

Outside, the nice scientists even let Susannah take an upclose look at
 a sea cucumber.

She was so brave and touched it as soon as they offered her the chance.

Later that afternoon, we headed out to get some of Mommy's favorite
guilty pleasure....
FroYo!!
Susannah caught the eye of all the passers-by on the street.
I think it was the hat.....she was rockin' this hat, wasn't she?

Today, the weather is much warmer and Mommy and Susannah
are both feeling better thanks to some antibiotics, so we decided to head
out to the front yard for a little impromptu photo shoot.

Peter and I just can't believe how fast Susannah is turning into a little girl.
She is so independent now.
And sooooo funny.
Here she is in front of the lemon tree in our front yard.
"Look Daddy, I think these lemons came from right up there."

She still doesn't like her bare feet to touch the grass or sand.

"I think I'm going to head back over to the non-yucky sidewalk now Daddy."
"Your turn Mommy!   Just give me the camera and I'll take some shots of you and Daddy."

"No?   Okay, I'll just sit here and keep looking sweet then."
Check out those big baby blues.

Here's to hoping that next week will be even more fun while involving much less Kleenex and Nyquil.
Happy Weekend everybody!
