The past couple of weeks have been busy here at chez Mallory with lots more Fall fun and even a weekend away for Peter and me! Here are the pictures......
| Peter spent a few days in London with work and had beautiful weather. |
| He also totally remembered his audience and brought home lots of Harry Potter gifts. |
| In other news, Sarah Avery brought home the letter bag from school for the first time. She had to fill it with things that started with the letter of the week, which was H. She brought a toy helicopter and a hat. |
| She also had a really fun birthday party in Old Town at an old fashioned ice cream parlor. |
| William is so sweet and we were so happy to help him celebrate. |
| We spent a Saturday morning at the pumpkin patch. |
| It was chilly and cloudy but that didn't stop our fun. |
| The girls found some pennies in the hay stacks. |
| And we picked out a few porch decorations. |
| The girls loved playing. |
| Especially in the tunnels under the displays. |
| The faster they grow, the more I treasure these moments. |
| I love this display of all the different types of pumpkins! |
| Daddy was loading the pumpkins so we had to do selfies. |
| It was a great morning. |
| We also had family pictures taken that weekend. |
| The girls were happy when they were over. ;) |
| SA had her second soccer class last Thursday. |
| She was pumped about her new tshirt. |
| She is really starting to get it and is so proud to be doing a sport like Susannah. |
| Last weekend, our beloved babysitter, Ms. Allison, stayed with the girls while Peter and I went to Cape May New Jersey. The girls had been counting down the days and had the best time in our absence. |
| And Peter and I had the best time with our adult only weekend. We stayed at this adorable B&B called Beauclair's. |
| It was just a block or two from the ocean! |
| It was so good to smell the fresh sea air and be away from the busyness of life in DC. |
| We had drinks and appetizers on this beautiful porch Friday night. |
| On our way to dinner, we made some friends with some ladies that were having a family girls weekend and invited us up on their porch for a drink. |
| The next morning we headed out after breakfast to check out the sea. |
| It was rough and windy so we didn't last long. |
| We decided to rent bikes for the day and check out all that Cape May had to offer. |
| It was so fun to spend the day biking. |
| The first stop was the lighthouse. |
We climbed to the top and spent a few minutes checking out the view. |
| It was beautiful. |
| The lighthouse keeper was an ex Navy Pilot who explained everything to us.....I'm pointing to the light bulb that lights the entire tower. We were amazed by how small it was. |
| Ready for our next stop....... |
| Which was an organic farm called Beach Plum Farms. It was adorable and not at all what I would expect in a beachside town. They had live music and were serving delicious lunch. |
| We loved this place. |
| It was a great find! |
| We rode to a local winery next and checked out the beautiful vineyards. |
| Meanwhile, these two were having a blast with Ms. Allison. They had mexican food for dinner to celebrate the two goals Susannah scored in her soccer game. |
| Peter and I spent the rest of our afternoon listening to live music on this patio. It was perfect. |
| When we returned on Sunday afternoon, it was time to get these two into their costumes and head over to the Fall Festival at church. |
| Hermione and Rainbow Dash were ready to go! |
| Susannah's costume was so spot on........I thought she looked just like Hermione! |
| And this was the cutest Rainbow Dash I had ever seen. |
| The Fall Festival did not disappoint. |
| The girls had their faces painted. |
| And played games. (SA was a ringer with this baseball game.) |
| The game keepers kept telling Susaannah she wasn't allowed to use magic on the games. ;) |
| It was chilly but super fun. |
| Susannah tried her hand at basketball. |
| While SA enjoyed some cotten candy. |
| We ran into friends too which is always extra fun. |
And that brings us up to this week, which is full of normal after school activities. We hope all of you are doing well. We love and miss you all!
