The first travels of Summer 2022 were a big hit. I would even say they were worth the Covid that we came home with. It was so good to see friends and family. Thank you to everybody that hosted us!

| The famous Buccee's has arrived in the Southeast so the girls and I had to stop and see what the fuss was all about. |

| First stop was LaGrange for a few days with Mimi. She was a great sport about this new hair do the cousins gave her. |

| And we spent a wonderful afternoon on Aunt Libba's farm. |

| Then we headed to Nashville for our annual 4th of July reunion. The kids outnumber the adults, but we have a blast. |

| This dinner was a highlight for the grown-ups. Good food and fireworks made for a fun night. |

| Next we headed to Grammy's where Sarah Avery got to work helping water the plants. |

| Peter and I escaped back to Nashville for a little weekend away. We were unimpressed with the party vibe on the rooftop of our hotel though. |

| We had a great dinner and stopped by the honky tonks to hear some live music. |

| Meanwhile, Grammy and the girls were having a blast in Knoxville. |
 |
| We spent our second night with these friends. We had a delicious meal and went to the Brandi Carlisle concert. It was such a fun night. |

| Next up was a couple of lake days. |
 |
| Lyndsey, Nick, Ellie and Hudson were such good hosts. We had the best time with them. |

And with that this summer update is complete. Thank you to all of our friends and family who so graciously hosted us. We love you all! Now we are in Virginia until Saturday when we leave for our family vacation in Big Sky, Montana.
