Winter is Here!

Winter has arrived here in Stuttgart just in time for Thanksgiving!   Here is our week in pictures.....

Susannah loves playing with playdough.   And SA loves doing whatever Susannah is doing.   She also loves taking care of her baby doll, which is why she is shoving playdough "food" in the doll's mouth in this picture.

Another example of wanting to do whatever her big sis does......she loves this zip-line.

Last weekend was Peter's command fall festival.   They had awesome crafts and activities for the kids so Susannah had so much fun.

The girls broke out the winter Sunday dresses but were not excited about being still for a picture.

Last Sunday we went with some friends down to  the square in our neighborhood to check out the little winter carnival they were having.   SA surprised us all by loving this little carousel.

Susannah loved it too, but when she was SA's age, she was terrified of stuff like this.

SA wanted to ride so many times, that Peter switched places and had me ride because he was getting dizzy.

So fun!

And one more ride with Daddy.

Sarah Avery is also a fan of all the riding toys at crawling group.   I think Santa may be bringing her something like this because it really is her favorite.

She also likes sitting in the big girl chairs.

And she still loves spaghetti.   And makes a slightly smaller mess as she gets older.

She LOVES playing with Susannah's jewelry.

The more necklaces the better.

Sweet.

This weekend, winter arrived with a bang.   Susannah was so excited to wake up to snow falling on Sunday morning.

Our ride to church was picturesque.

I went for a walk on Sunday afternoon and got caught in some more snow.

We spent the rest of our Sunday checking out the opening day of the Christmas Market downtown.   I love this pic because SA looks so mad that Susannah isn't sharing her candy apple.   Susannah has been so excited to have one of these after reading about them in a Berenstein Bear book that Shoo Shoo brought to her.

Daddy and I had some gluwein.

We took the bus home because it was cooold.

After we got home, we turned on some Christmas music and pulled out our Christmas books, toy nativity scene and advent calendar.   The Mallory's are ready for December!

And this morning we walked to school through lots of snow.   Big, fat flakes!   So fun!

The florist shop by our apartment has their toy train up and running.

Another fun part of the season that is so fun to share with this little one.
I feel like last year Sarah Avery was so small, we were still in survival mode during the holidays.   So this year, we are so excited to slow down and soak in every single fun holiday detail we can.    This Thanksgiving, we are so very grateful for friends and family who love us and pray for us from afar. We miss and love you all!   Happy Thanksgiving!
