Wrapping up the school year

I can't believe it has been a month since I last posted.  Why does time continue to accelerate??  We have had a fun and eventful May.  Here are some photos......

Susannah finished spring soccer and even got to have a little clinic from a professional player.

Susannah's music teacher organized a little performance to show families what they have been learning all year.  Sarah Avery got to participate in the last dance.

I turned 38 and we celebrated with tacos and margaritas at my favorite restaurant.  Then ice cream and a walk.  It was a beautiful evening.

beautiful and silly

On our walk we saw a dog that looked and acted exactly like Meadow so we stopped to say hi.

Sarah Avery finished Pre-K!!

We had so much fun celebrating her.

Her teachers made her a book with memories from the year.

I can't believe she will be in Kindergarten next year!

Her school does an adorable graduation ceremony.

They had a board with artwork and surveys from each child.  Sarah's said she wanted to be a veterinarian when she grows up.

The cap and gown killed me.  It was precious.

Ms. April and Ms. Terri were such wonderful teachers for our girl.

We checked Susannah out of school so she could help us celebrate.

The kids performed for us too.

And then we had cake with our friends.  Kaitlyn was one of Sarah Avery's best friends this year.

And so was Corrine.  We will miss these two next year!

We went out to a pizza lunch after the ceremony and ran into another classmate, William.

Susannah was proud of her little sister.

We have had some beautiful spring weather so we walked to church a couple of times.

And Daddy took the girls out for ice-cream.

Maybe we forgot napkins??

The girls had their spring choir performances at church and both sang their little hearts out.

Peter and I had a date night at the NATS game last weekend.  It was a beautiful evening and we had a great time.

Our neighbor gave us these awesome seats and access to the Diamond Club.

Perfect way to spend a Friday night.

The Nats even won!

Our pool opened and we have already been spending lots of time with friends their.

The girls and Peter set up the tent in the backyard for stage 1 of our "are we ready for a family camping trip?' trial.

Another day, another ice cream at the pool.  ;)

Honey is still faithfully protecting us from the post man.

And I finished up my russian classes for the summer so Peter and Sarah Avery went to Duck Donuts to celebrate their last morning together.

We made peanut butter brownies for Peter's 39th birthday.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

And he opened his gifts.

This week Sarah Avery is finishing up her little summer camp and Susannah only has two more weeks of school!  Summer is almost officially here.
We hope May treated all of you well.  Thanks to everybody for the birthday wishes.  We love and miss you all and can't wait to see many of you this summer!!
