A different kind of post.....

I want to share an exciting new project that I'm starting.   I have signed on to be a "stylist" for the jewelry company Stella and Dot.   For those of you who are unfamiliar with this brand, you can read all about it  here.     They really do have beautiful, fun styles that are affordable and high quality.   It is often spotted being worn by celebrities and is featured in fashion magazines and television on a regular basis.  And, for anybody interested in doing some Christmas shopping for wives, girlfriends, sisters, moms, grandmothers, ect, all jewelry is shipped directly to you in beautiful packaging.   100% ready to be thrown directly under the tree!  

Now, for the most exciting part....... I am going to donate all of my commission (25% of total sales) to Compassion International.   If you are unfamiliar with this organization please check out their website.    Their mission is "to release children from poverty in Jesus' name."  In addition to providing sponsorship opportunities, they also fund several initiatives including disaster relief and clean water provision.  I will be donating my commission to three areas: 1. disaster relief (continued efforts in Haiti, the famine in west Africa, ect.) 2. Compassion's Safe Water for Life program (provides water filters to families with no access to clean water.)  3. Compassion's fund for unsponsored children.  (this will provide assistance to children who are still waiting for a sponsor of their own.     If you are still a little wary, click here to see their charity rating here.   Just scroll down until you find that Compassion has the highest score available in terms of their legitimacy and faithfulness.

Which brings me to my next point.   If you would like to skip me and my jewelry all together and just sponsor a child yourself, that would be even better!   ;)    Sponsorship has been such an amazing experience for Peter and me, and we can't wait to share it with Susannah as she grows up.   Click here
