Fall Fun

Well, October has flown by and I'm realizing that I haven't posted a blog in over three weeks!   We have been enjoying lots of fun fall activities (lots of football watching and pumpkin gathering) and have tried to soak up the last of the warm weather.    Here are the pictures from our month:

We are still loving our life with two dogs.

Honey is such a good dog and the girls adore her.

We've been sporting all of our Georgia gear with extra pride this season.

We love our walkable neighborhood....off to brunch.

Brunch after Saturday morning soccer games is probably going to be my favorite memory from this season.

We spent one Saturday morning at the pumpkin patch, where I took LOTS of pictures.

They had a fun straw area where the kids could dig for pennies.

And some chickens around enjoying their breakfast.

And a pig named Penny.

This pumpkin wall with all the different variations was cool.

We ended our visit with some candy corn and fresh apple cider.

Susannah has become such an avid little reader.   When she asked if we could have our own book club meetings where she told me about the books she is reading, I couldn't have been more excited.    We had our first meeting at a little coffee shop one sunday after church.   We shared a muffin and discussed Laura Ingalls Wilder.   It was my dream come true.

Later that afternoon, these two painted their little pumpkins.

It rained on Columbus Day so we decided to take SA to her first movie.   We saw Leap and it was really cute.

Susannah's Daisy troop took a field trip to our local fire station.

It was a hit with all the girls.

We decorated the yard a little bit for Halloween.

One day before school, SA wanted a picture with every single decoration.

Speaking of school, SA LOVES her new school.   They do fun things everyday, like umbrella walks in the rain.

And visits from a fire truck.

Susannah had a birthday party a couple of weekends ago.   She loves a birthday party.

We've been doing Sunday afternoon s'mores lately in the backyard and the girls are loving the new tradition.

Honey always wants to try a bite.

This little one is growing so tall I can barely keep up.   She asks for pigtails often, but they rarely survive through her school day.

SA loves to help me in the kitchen.

We spend almost everyday after school with these kids.......watching them all run around and make memories fills my heart up to the brim with gratitude.

The girls and I went for icecream last weekend when Peter was out of town.

And SA got to pick out yet another pumpkin at school this week.
That is it for our October.   Next post will have lots of pictures of Princess Ray and a little dalmatian puppy.   Not a real puppy.   SA is going to have a puppy as her costume.  The last thing we need is a real puppy.  ;)    We hope all of you are well.   Big hugs from Alexandria!  Happy Halloween!!
