Disney World Part 1

Well, we did it.   We survived Walt Disney World.   And we even managed to have an amazing time. I really didn't know what to expect with the heat and the crowds, but it really was magical.   The girls were the perfect age.   I'm going to divide the pictures into a few different posts because we took so many, but we don't want to forget anything.   So, here are the Day 1 pics......

But first, I need to post a couple of pics of the Insogna's visit.

Elizabeth, Jonathon, Preston, Levi and baby Campbell came to stay for a long weekend before we left for Disney and it was so good to see them.

Peter had to work on Friday, but the rest of us spent the morning at the Natural History Museum.   SA caught a ride with Mr. Jonathon for part of our tour.

The plan was to walk the Mall to the Lincoln Memorial but it was super hot so we decided to flee to the AC instead.
We spent their next day at the pool.   The kids had a ball.

Elizabeth and SA almost share a birthday, so we had to celebrate.

Thanks for such a fun visit guys!  Love you!

Susannah also had her first soccer practice in her new league the night before we left.   She loved it!

SA's big birthday present was the trip, but we had wrapped up a couple of Disney things and a new Bible for her to open the night before we left.

And now, the real Disney Day 1!

SA's birthday wish was to meet Elsa, so we had big plans to head straight to Epcot after checking into our hotel.   We had an 8 am flight, but it was delayed.   This is how the girls felt about it.

We ended up only being an hour late though, so we made that time up easily and were back on schedule with our birthday pin on by 2:00.

Epcot!!!

SA wanted to wear her Elsa dress to meet Elsa, so after a quick wardrobe change, we headed to Norway.

To Anna and Elsa's summer house.

Watching the girls meet them was so awesome.   They were so excited, but also completely mesmerized.

They barely said a word.
But their faces.......
spoke volumes.

We rode the Frozen ride and a little Donald Duck ride in Mexico before splitting up for a little bit.   Peter and Susannah wanted to do Mission Space, which is loud and spinny.

So SA and I opted to meet some new friends instead.

The line was non-existent and we had the best time.

Snow White was sweet.

And Minnie!

Goofy hugs.

And of course, we had to meet the star of the show!

Epcot Day 1 Complete!!!

After a quick dinner, we headed back to our room for a much needed shower and bedtime.   The next day, Susannah was going to become a Jedi!!
