Fall Happenings

This fall has been one of the busiest back-to-school seasons yet.  Here are some of the highlights.

Susannah has organized a little community theatre production and we are so excited to see the final performance in November!

How do you know you have been married for 20 years?  You buy each other the same anniversary card.  :)

A huge occasion for our family was Peter's promotion ceremony to Captain.

His cousin Judson performed the promotion which was so special.

The girls and I pinned on his new rank.

We were all so proud of him.

It was awesome seeing all the friends and family who came out to celebrate with us.

Susannah has been doing a fantastic job running with the ACHS cross-country team.  We love supporting her.

These fifth graders are living their best lives as the rulers of the school.  Here they are at their last lunch on the lawn at GM.

I spent a long weekend in Denver which included hiking in Evergreen, Colorado.

It was beautiful and the weather was perfect.

Gorgeous views at the top.

These ladies know where all the bodies are buried.

No girl's trip is complete without a yummy brunch and this one did not disappoint.

Neither did the post-brunch walk.

The highlight of the weekend was my first-ever concert at the famous Red Rocks.

Indigo Girls opened for Amos Lee and it was awesome.

Peter spent a weekend in Napa for William and Ally's wedding.  I was so sad to miss it because he said it was beautiful.

5th grade picture day.

Another early Saturday, another cross-country race for our runner.

Halloween is coming---SA and Sally are ready.

Peter met his college friends in Charlotte, NC last weekend and their highlight was seeing this barn from Days of Thunder.  :)

Not pictured are Sarah Avery's field hockey games and lacrosse practices.  Also not pictured, my constant studying and Peter's new job.  It's been full and crazy and tiring and wonderful.  We hope all of you are doing well. Love and miss you all!
