A little of this; a little of that.......

There is no real theme or point to this post.....just some photos of what we have been up to lately......

Susannah has had this backpack since she was a little baby, but she recently discovered it and loves to wear it around the house.

She also loves to collect things on our walks......flowers, rocks, pine straw, leaves.   She is a little scavenger.

Monkey is definitely her favorite companion.   Isn't his name so original?

I just love the back of this little dress.   She is growing so fast lately, it is one of the only summer dresses that still fits her.

She has definitely gotten over her fear of being dirty.   She loves playing in the sand and helping Daddy with the garden.

Especially if we let her use real tools.

Our friends from Alabama, Brandon and Natalie, came into town this weekend.   We had a great time and Natalie took lots of pictures.   I, on the other hand, only remembered to snap one photo.   This is Peter and Brandon attempting the spicy wing challenge at dinner Friday night.   It was entertaining to say the least.    Hopefully Natalie will share her pictures so I can post some more from their visit later.

Since Monday was a holiday, Daddy was able to come to soccer class.   Here he is doing Susannah's favorite, "The wheels on the bus."

She also really likes the tunnel.

And the ribbons.   (Yes, this class really is called "soccer.")

Having Daddy there made Susannah so happy.

We also took an afternoon family walk.

Susannah collected some pretty cool pinestraw.

Runner in training.......she loves Mommy's running shoes.

Last weekend, we met some friends at the coolest burger joint.   It has a play area for kids that Susannah LOVED.

It is the best idea because the parents can enjoy dinner while keeping an eye on their kids.   Everybody wins!

Susannah especially loved playing in the pebbly sand.

"Look how dirty I am Mommy!!  I can't wait to get in the car like this!"

Overall, a pretty fun-filled week.
Hope all of you are doing well and had a good weekend.    Happy Columbus Day!!
