Winter is back and a circus performance

Winter has unfortunately reared it's cold, grey, ugly head this past week.   It snowed 5 days in a row!   But despite the weather, we managed to have a really nice week that was highlighted by Susannah's ballet performance Saturday.    Here are the pictures.....

Best way to spend a snowy Sunday afternoon?    Make a "beach" tea party picnic and wear bathing suits to complete the scene.

Playdates and crafting are another fun way to beat the weather.

These girls had a great time crafting in their Elsa dresses.

In other news, Sarah Avery has started making good use of the bathroom stool.   In this picture, she had opened the junk drawer in the kitchen and was happy to show me the Christmas candles she had found when I walked in the kitchen.

We did have one sunny morning, so we bundled up and headed to the playground.

It was nice to soak up some sunshine, even if it was through a coat and scarf and boots.

SA is really into the sand lately, so we are looking forward to going to the beach next month.

Saturday morning we headed to base for the circus carnival that they were having.   We were happy the weather was a tad bit warmer.  Sarah Avery wasn't too sure about her first bouncy house experience.

The main circus event for our family was the ballet performance.

The costumes were awesome.

"Mommy, I need to put on my ballet shoes......no more time for pictures."

Susannah's little class were the only young performers.   They were a hit with the crowd for sure.

Susannah and her best friend Sophia have been practicing their routine for weeks on the playground at school.

Susannah was so excited to get a picture with her beloved teacher Miss Helen.

The performance was so cute.

Susannah is back row center.   Can you spot her?

Susannah and Sophia were so happy to be dance partners.

Sarah Avery didn't know what to think.

Peter had to run over from work and made it just in time.

Susannah was a trooper about taking pictures in the wind.

After nap, we headed down to the square in our neighborhood to check out the little fest and grab some dinner.   The girls were excited to ride the carousel

Sarah Avery waved and blew us a kiss every single time she passed.

Beer and sausage were on the menu for dinner.

And then it was back home for a little dress up time before bed.

And that was our weekend.   Sarah Avery will have surgery to put tubes in her little ears this Wednesday so prayers are appreciated!    Love from Stuttgart!
