We are family......

Sorry for the delay since our last post.   We traveled to LaGrange, Georgia to visit Mimi and Poppy, Papa and Shoo-Shoo, (Yes, this is the name that Susannah has chosen for Peter's Mom.  She is being a good sport about it.)   and lots of aunts and uncles.   It was a great week and Susannah had a ball.

One of our first activities was visiting the Atlanta Aquarium with Papa and Shoo Shoo.   Susannah LOVED it!
In the underwater tunnel with the grandparents.

"Look, a whale shark!"

Susannah is starting to mimic everything we do, so she is holding her hand like Daddy in this one.

She was captivated by all the fish.

A rare shot with Mommy.

A good view of the whale sharks.

Watching the action with Papa.

Petting the sting-rays at the discovery center.

We also got to see the adorable Beluga whales playing with their toys.

Pretty sure this will be a routine stop on our trips to Georgia.

Shoo-Shoo bought Susannah a penguin at the gift store which she carried the rest of the day.

Even though we don't have many pics to show for it, we stayed with Mimi and Poppy and Susannah loved playing at their house.   They even bought her her very own shopping cart which she pushed around the house every day that we were there.

Susannah loved playing outside at Mimi and Poppy's house too.   Here she is sitting on the step with Poppy.

And playing in Poppy's den.
Aunt Liz and Uncle Will drove in from North Carolina, so Susannah got to play with her cousin Clara Kate.

Even though we took 100 pictures of them in their matching outfits, we still didn't get one with smiles.

Susannah especially loved all the cats at Papa's house.   She learned how to call them and would walk around saying "kitty, kitty, kitty."

She still LOVES her Aunt Nancy too.

Mimi and Poppy had a family bbq and all the cousins had so much fun playing in the backyard.

Mimi had bubbles and sidewalk chalk and Susannah had a ball.

The bubbles were such a hit!

Susannah with her cousins Claire and Caleb.  (we are all dressed in white and denim for the family photo, in case anyone is wondering.)

Susannah had a blast playing with all the toys at Papa and Shoo-Shoo's too.

Uncle Hollis stacked blocks with her and brought her a lei from South Carolina.

Peter's extended family came over for a pot-luck dinner and we had such a great time catching up.   Here is the group shot.
Papa even let Susannah play with his pressure washer!

Aunt Nancy and Clara Kate.

Shoo-Shoo bought Susannah some yummy vanilla milk that she loved.
On our last day, we went to Callaway Gardens to watch Daddy do a triathlon.   Susannah and Aunt Nancy waiting at the finish.

He did awesome and took 23 minutes of his time in 2008.

Susannah and Daddy after the finish.

Daddy's proud cheer-leaders.
The whole Mallory clan was there for moral support.

Aunt Christy and Uncle Hollis were so sweet to Susannah.

After a picnic, we headed to the butterfly center.

It was hot, but really fun.

Checking out a big blue butterfly with Mommy.   I think Mommy was a little more impressed than Susannah.

It was a fun showing her all the butterflies.   A great memory.

Susannah liked the fish as much as the butterflies.

Clara Kate and Susannah with their Daddies.

Susannah did really well on all of the flights.  And Mommy was so happy to have an extra set of hands this time.

It was a great visit and we are so thankful to our families for being so sweet and welcoming.   Already looking forward to our next visit!
